Analyze your Needs
Annual, Quarterly, or Monthly Data
The Consultant and Pro editions of Financial Genome accept annual, quarterly, or
monthly information (Basic Edition will only accept annual data), and will "roll
up" monthly and quarterly data into quarterly and annual summaries,
respectively, based on your specifications. You
specify the time range for your analysis.
If you identified a data
source, Genome will automatically determine the type and range of time periods
available in the data; however, you are free to reconfigure the time periods
included in your analysis. You can also save
time configurations to reuse them again in your analysis. You can access the
Time Period Wizard at any time during your analysis.
Integrated Projection Functionality With Funding
Closure
You can work exclusively with
actual data, or specify an analysis combining actual and forecast (projected)
data. Any time you have a data file connected to a Financial Genome
project, you can invoke the program's built-in forecasting capabilities simply
by adding future time periods (periods beyond those contained in your data file)
to your analysis.
In Forecast (projection) mode,
Financial Genome automatically provides terms called Forecast
Drivers that you can use to generate future financial values for selected
items. These forecast drivers can be displayed and hidden at will. You can
quickly shift your view of the data, as needed. In Forecast mode, Financial
Genome generates an
integrated set of projected financial statements. Its financial system calculates
cash requirements or excess to ensure funding closure in future periods.
Financial Genome provides you with tools to input forecast
assumptions on a Forecast Driver Statement or to inspect selected terms
using a browser. You provide the values for the forecast drivers and for any of
the terms required. You can easily modify these values to perform what-if
analyses.
